The club founded in 1962 was among the strongest sides in the Belarusian SSR. Won the BSSR championship four times (1983, 1985, 1986, 1989), the BSSR Super cup two times (1984, 1986), as well as a number of prizes at other BSSR tournaments. After Belarus became independent the team spent seven season in the Belarusian Premier league with the best achievement coming in the 1994/1995 season when the club finished in 8th position. Starting from 2012 the club has been a regular in the Belarusian first league (D2).
