The club was founded in 1951 under the name «Trud» (which means labour). The team played under the name «Start» during it's longest period in history. The team took part in the championship of BSSR mostly playing in the top division. In 1971 the club reached the cup final but lost to «Torpedo» Zhodino. In the 1990s a new name «Legmash» was introduced and the team entered the second league (D3) were it played until 2001 when serious financial issues occured and the team failed to finish the championship. In three years the team returned to the second league and in 2005 got promoted to the first league (D2) but failed to save its position and got relegated again. The 2014 season was a success and the team once again returned to the first league.
